My mother has always had a complicated relationship with her country, Latvia. Born at the time of the occupation of the USSR, she had to leave the state, before the moment of its dissolution, to build her life in France. 

Despite the independence of Latvia that was proclaimed, she did not return for a long time and the place has completely changed.

This series explores her desire to return to the places of her childhood and to find her roots.
